IT/ICT Executve (School)

ICT/IT Executive

Roles:

(a)    Managing ICT Programs in Schools

Manage and coordinate all ICT projects for schools while ensuring that MOE policies, guidelines and standards are adhered to. He/she will also have to provide project updates to the HOD (ICT) and prepare any relevant documentations and guidelines pertaining to the projects.

(b)    Training

Support the Teaching and Learning of staff/pupils in ICT skills including the training of school’s LMS or e-Learning portal. Organize and conduct briefing on ICT awareness and usage for school staff including ICT implementations, such as issues pertaining to VPN/TAL usage and ICON email.

(c)    Business Solution and ICT Planning

Gather the ICT needs of the school from the HOD(ICT) and the school leaders and propose solutions that meet the requirements of the school including technical specifications and market pricing of these solutions.

(d)    Procurement of ICT Equipment & Services

Procurement of ICT Equipment & Services based on the school’s requirements (through bulk tenders, ITQ, etc).

(e)    ICT Resources

Manage the school’s ICT resources (such as the loan records; replacement and condemnation of ICT equipment, etc).

(f)    Overseeing of ICT Staff

Oversee the work of the TAs, ICT Trainer and any other ICT support staff in the school.

(g)    Other Tasks assigned by the Management

Scan the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching and Learning and update school staff.

The ICT Executive will be a point of contact with MOE HQ for dissemination and coordination of ICT projects related matters for the school. He/She will also be the single point of contact for our Web Mail System (iCON) and also be the VPN co-coordinator for VPN services.

Requirements

·         Preferably a Degree/Diploma holder.

·         Should have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar position in a school environment.

·         Conversant on both PC and Macintosh computers and its applications.

·         Technically sound and knowledgeable.

·         Able to support Chinese applications.

Job Scope of Full-Time Library Assistant (Clementi, West Zone)

The full-time Library Assistant shall fulfill the following duties:

Operational:

(a)            Ensure that the day-to-day operation and administration of the school MRL is efficient and that the system, resources and equipment are well maintained.

SCOPE OF WORK OF RTO (FULL TIME)

a)        Shall be responsible for all supervision on site, co-ordination and liaison between the Contractor, Owner and Consultants. Expected to know the prevailing Building Control Act & Building Control Regulations and should comply with all the requirements concerning supervision, quality control, reports and other documentation.

b)        To check all drawings and specifications to ensure that work are carried out in accordance with the approved/construction plans.  To check for any discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer (SO) any discrepancy found.

c)        To liaise with and to obtain from the SO/Consultants any information, documents or plans that may be necessary in order to effectively perform services as described above.

d)        Report and record all works that are not carried out in accordance with the Construction Drawings.

e)        Assist SO/ Consultants to verify all variations on works carried on site and to verify all reports and claims submitted by the Contractors.

f)         To ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner. To assist in enforcing the Worksite Operational and Safety Requirements and ensure Contractors maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site. on

g)        To monitor and report on contractor's progress against planned schedule and performance. Maintain daily site records of the works which should include all circumstances and events occurring during the construction stage.

h)        To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe and site instructions.

i)           To check on quality of materials and samples delivered to site and report to SO on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.

j)          To prepare, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.

k)        To attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings and to keep proper minutes of these meetings. To follow up and report to relevant SO within two (2) days to clear site issues that require follow up actions.

l)          To inspect and assist with handing/taking over of completed works.

m)     To ensure that proper and updated records of all works, including records of variation works, tests, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, labour safety, provisional quantities, day works, etc, are kept.

n)        Perform any other duties in connection with the project and as instructed by the Consultants/SO.

 

QUALIFICATIONS OF RTO

The Resident Technical Officer shall possess the following minimum qualifications and practical experience stipulated below:

a)        To possess relevant working experience in geotechnical works of similar nature and;

b)        Currently registered with BCA/IES as a Resident Technical Officer.

c)        Approved and acceptable by BCA as the RTO for the project.
